Luna Ring Gen 2 Review: Stylish and Subscription-Free

The Luna Ring Gen 2 is a new addition to the world of smart rings, aiming to compete with popular options like the Oura Ring 4 and Samsung Galaxy Ring. Developed by India-based company Noise, the Luna Ring Gen 2 incorporates AI technology to provide insights on workouts and nutrition choices, setting it apart from other smart rings on the market.

Design & Build:
The Luna Ring Gen 2 features a sleek design, available in five color finishes including Stardust Silver, Lunar Black, Sunlit Gold, Midnight Black, and Rose Gold. Made primarily from titanium, the ring is comfortable to wear, with a sensor bump on the underside. The ring is waterproof up to 50 meters, making it suitable for swimming and other water activities. The package includes a choice of a portable charging case or a dock for convenient charging options.

Fitness & Tracking:
Equipped with standard smart ring sensors, the Luna Ring Gen 2 tracks steps, sleep, heart rate, and stress levels. Data is stored and analyzed in the Luna app, which offers a user-friendly interface for viewing daily totals, sleep patterns, activity tracking, and Luna AI insights. The AI feature provides guidance on metrics and offers workout and diet plans, although personalization may be lacking in this aspect.

Battery Life & Charging:
The Luna Ring Gen 2 boasts up to 5 days of battery life on a single charge, with the option to extend battery power using the portable charging case. The case provides 30 days of extra battery life and can fully charge the ring in 120 minutes. Notifications from the app alert users when the battery is running low to prevent unexpected power loss.

Price & Availability:
Launched in July 2025, the Luna Ring Gen 2 is priced from £269/$300, making it a more affordable option compared to competitors like the Oura Ring 4. Additional pricing options include a bundle with the portable charging case for £299/$329. The ring is available for purchase without any additional monthly or annual fees, offering a subscription-free experience for users.

Should you buy the Luna Ring Gen 2?
Overall, the Luna Ring Gen 2 offers a compelling package with its stylish design, solid tracking capabilities, and affordable pricing. While it may fall short in areas like heart rate accuracy and battery life compared to top competitors, it still provides valuable insights and features for users interested in tracking their health and fitness. If you value sleep tracking and contextualized data, the Luna Ring Gen 2 is worth considering as a smart ring option.
