Janelle Brown’s daughter Maddie Brown has surprised everyone in the family with the announcement of her fourth pregnancy on Sister Wives, and it’s her due date that brings tears to some eyes.
In an exclusive sneak peek shared by Us Weekly for the upcoming episode airing on Sunday, October 12, Maddie, who is 29, informs her mom, Janelle, and Christine Brown that she is expecting baby number four. To make the moment even more touching, she reveals her due date, March 4 or 5.
“That’s mom’s favorite date,” remarks Maddie’s half-sister Mykelti Brown in the clip, bringing a smile to Christine’s face.
As Maddie reflects, she adds, “I feel like that was a Garrison thing,” referencing her late brother, Garrison Brown, who passed away on March 5, 2024, at just 25 years old.
“That’s really cool,” Christine responds, making a playful face and exclaiming, “Garrison is all like, ‘Waasup sucka.’”
With excitement, Janelle states, “March 4 or 5. Either day works for me.”
“It’s thrilling and totally unexpected that the baby is due on the day Garrison passed away. Isn’t that wild?” Christine says to the cameras. “It’s, like, full [circle].”
As the emotional moment unfolds, tears well up in Janelle’s eyes as she considers Garrison looking over the new addition to their family.
“The thought of Garrison being with one of his nieces. Ah, I can’t discuss it. Or nephew. It’s comforting,” Christine continues. “It’s so meaningful for her to have a baby. I’m thrilled. Truly, she’s an amazing mom.”
Janelle shares the same excitement about the new life that will emerge following Garrison’s passing.
“I’m genuinely so thrilled. When she shared with me, it was remarkable how it aligns with Garrison’s death,” Janelle beams. “The due date coinciding with Garrison’s passing is significant.”
During her relationship with Kody Brown, Janelle has welcomed six children, including Maddie and Garrison, alongside sons Logan, Hunter, and Gabe and daughter Savanah. The couple ended their spiritual marriage in December 2022 after nearly 30 years.
Christine also gave birth to six children when she was married to Kody, including Mykelti, Aspyn, Gwendlyn, Ysabel, Truley, and Paedon. She and Kody separated in November 2021.
First wife of Kody, Meri Brown, was with him for over three decades before their separation in January 2023. Together, they share one child, Leon. Kody is still married to his fourth wife, Robyn Brown, with whom he has two biological children and is the adoptive father of Robyn’s three eldest children from her previous marriage.
After the tragic death of Garrison in March 2024 by suicide, the family, while fractured, found unity in his memory. They came together to lay Garrison to rest in Wyoming and have continued to honor his legacy.
Though Maddie did not give birth on Garrison’s memorial day, she honored him in the namesake of her daughter. Maddie announced via Instagram on March 15, “Absolutely worth the wait, Miss Emilia Estelle Brush has finally made her grand entrance. Our sweet girl took her time, keeping us all in suspense, but when she decided it was time — she didn’t waste a second. Born on 3/14, she arrived absolutely perfect.”
Fans speculated that Emilia’s middle name Estelle was a tribute to Garrison, meaning ‘star’ in Latin, to which Maddie confirmed in the comments, “That is exactly what it is.”
Prior to the arrival of her youngest child, Maddie expressed her feelings in an Instagram tribute marking a year since Garrison’s passing.
“A full 365 days without you. Not a single day goes by that I don’t think of you, Garrison. I often remember you in the stillness among the chaos of life,” she penned on March 5. “I pray that you’ve found the peace and rest that eluded you here. Until we reunite, little brother. 💖.”
