BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

A PROCLAMATION

For 250 years, America’s rich heritage has been crafted by visionaries and builders who have pursued excellence and aspired to achieve the impossible. During Made in America Week, we honor the formidable force of American manufacturing, powered by the businesses and workers who drive our economy, and commit to creating a future where our greatest achievements are still ahead.

American craftsmanship has been a core part of our national identity for a long time. From factory floors and steel mills to the family-owned stores along our Main Streets, the creativity of our manufacturers and the dedication of our workers have constructed the most powerful industrial engine the world has ever seen, establishing the United States as the most productive and prosperous nation in history. We are a nation that never ceases to build, continuously motivated to reach new heights.

However, our hard-won greatness has faced challenges. Over the years, harmful trade policies have compromised our industrial strength in pursuit of cheaper goods, undermining our workers, depleting our manufacturing base, and threatening our national security. For too long, Washington bureaucrats have sacrificed American workers for inexpensive foreign labor, jeopardizing the livelihoods of those who made our country great. To proudly display the words “Made in America” once more, we must restore our manufacturing capabilities domestically. Thanks to my Administration’s significant trade agreements, we are experiencing the largest reshoring wave in our history as companies return home, investing trillions of dollars into our economy and creating over 900,000 American jobs.

Earlier this year, I signed an Executive Order to ensure products claiming to be “Made in the U.S.A.” are truthfully advertised. I also directed all Federal agencies to purchase American-made goods to support the citizens we serve, rather than our competitors abroad. Last year, I signed the historic Working Families Tax Cuts Act into law, making the 20 percent Small Business Tax Deduction permanent—a measure that will generate $750 billion in economic growth and create over 1 million Main Street jobs, enabling our domestic manufacturers to thrive. We are also providing 100 percent expensing for new factories, improvements, equipment, and research and development efforts, while my Administration continues to remove unnecessary regulations that have restricted our producers. The results are evident: by the end of the first quarter of 2026, American manufacturing added jobs for the first time in three years, signaling the beginning of a new Golden Age of American industrial strength.

Every product stamped Made in America is a tribute to the American People, whose hard work and determination sustain our Nation’s prosperity. This week, we honor our workers, industries, and communities, whose labor powers the lasting strength of our Republic. Together, we will create an even greater and brighter future, one proudly built and Made in America.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, DONALD J. TRUMP, President of the United States of America, by the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, hereby proclaim July 19 through July 25, 2026, as Made in America Week. I urge all Americans to pay special tribute to the builders, ranchers, crafters, entrepreneurs, and all those who work with their hands every day to make America great.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this twentieth day of July, in the year of our Lord two thousand twenty-six, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and fifty-first.

DONALD J. TRUMP
