MAGA influencer and ardent supporter of President Donald Trump, Melissa Rein Lively, has been charged in connection with a racially motivated attack, according to authorities. The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has permitted British Transport Police (BTP) detectives to charge two individuals for their involvement in an incident at Bond Street Underground station last year, as stated in a press release issued on Friday, May 15.
Philipp Ostermann, a 37-year-old German national, is facing charges for two Racially Aggravated Public Order offenses and an additional Public Order offense. Melissa Rein Lively, a 40-year-old U.S. national, has been charged with Assault by Beating.
The first court appearance for the accused individuals is set for Tuesday, May 19, at Westminster Magistratesā Court. The charges stem from an alleged racially motivated incident on October 11, 2025, at the Bond Street Underground station in London, England.
A BBC report on Friday detailed that an unidentified woman accused Lively and her boyfriend of racially abusing her as she entered the station with her sister and two young children. The man reportedly shouted racial slurs while Lively allegedly pulled the womanās hair.
According to police, the man began shouting racial slurs at the victim and her family, while the woman grabbed her hair. Pepper spray was reportedly used during the incident, which occurred in the presence of children. When the victim attempted to defend herself, the man allegedly produced a small bottle, claimed it was pepper spray, and sprayed it towards the victim and her family. The woman reportedly shouted abuse and made lewd gestures before both parties departed the area.
The incident reportedly began when the unidentified womanās stroller collided with Ostermann, a German financier, and Lively.
Lively, a PR executive and founder of the āanti-wokeā PR firm America First Public Relations, has not publicly responded to the charges or allegations. As reported by both the Economic Times and Politico, Lively has expressed interest in becoming the next White House Press Secretary, a position currently held by Karoline Leavitt, who is on maternity leave after welcoming her second child with her husband, Nicholas Riccio, who is 32 years her senior.
Us Weekly has reached out to her for comment. At the time of publication, it remains unclear if either party has secured legal representation to speak on their behalf.
