A man from Arizona has been detained by California authorities for allegedly trying to strangle his girlfriend with bed sheets last year.
Jason Marchesano, 46, was taken into custody at Legoland theme park in Carlsbad on Monday.
According to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, the arrest was made over six months after the alleged incident, where Marchesano is accused of tying up his girlfriend with bed sheets inside a trailer in Paulden, Arizona.
The woman managed to escape from the alleged October incident and subsequently reported it to authorities.
“This arrest was made possible by strong investigative work, interagency partnership, and a community member who chose to speak up,” the YCSO stated.
