An armed man robbed the Circle K convenience store in Lyons on Friday evening, as reported by Boulder County Sheriff’s officials.
The incident took place around 7:30 p.m. when a man brandishing a handgun entered the store located on U.S. 36 and carried out the robbery. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the suspect fled the scene following the incident.
The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that the perpetrator is still on the run, with Communications Specialist Carrie Haverford stating so in an email.
Despite an extensive search effort involving county sheriff’s deputies, Longmont police officers, and Erie police officers using K-9 units and a drone, the suspect remains at large.
According to witnesses, the suspect is described as a man in his early 20s wearing dark-colored pants, a black-and-white hoodie featuring angel wings on the back, and a blue bandana covering his face.
