Man in wheelchair killed in Arvada hit-and-run

Man in wheelchair killed in Arvada hit-and-run

An individual in a wheelchair tragically lost their life in a hit-and-run incident early on Thursday, as reported by the Arvada Police Department.

The victim was traveling north in their wheelchair in the southbound lanes of Wadsworth Boulevard near West 53rd Avenue around 1:52 a.m. when they were struck by a pickup truck.

A compassionate passerby stopped to assist the victim, who was rushed to a hospital but was unfortunately pronounced dead.

Authorities were able to track down the truck involved in the incident through nearby security cameras and license plate readers. Efforts are ongoing to identify a suspect in connection with the case.
