A man from Wisconsin was taken into custody after showing up for a date armed with a gun and a “kill kit,” and attempting to abduct the woman.

Angelo Liberto is facing charges of attempted sexual assault, kidnapping, and false imprisonment, all of which include modifiers for using a deadly weapon. These charges followed his attempt to force his date into his vehicle on May 29.

The woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, informed police that Liberto, 22, appeared at her residence uninvited at 1 a.m. several days before their planned date on May 29, as detailed in a criminal complaint obtained by Law & Crime. She recounted that Liberto mentioned having a “surprise” for her.

Despite the woman’s insistence that Liberto had “crossed boundaries” and her request for him to leave, he returned to her home on May 29 to pick her up for their date. Upon arrival, Liberto told her he had a “gift” in his car and an “additional surprise” in the backseat.

A man in St. Cloud, Minnesota, faces charges of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a woman during a terrifying five-day ordeal at his home. Marquell Steven Goree is charged with two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and one count of kidnapping, according to online reports.

Once in the vehicle’s back seat, the woman recounted that Liberto pulled over and remarked she “should’ve been scared.” He then brandished a Python .357 Magnum revolver, demanding her phone.

The woman refused to surrender her phone unless he put down the gun, but Liberto allegedly continued to yell at her. She managed to seize the gun from him, but he locked the vehicle, trapping her inside. Liberto then allegedly produced a knife and instructed her to put on a pair of handcuffs, which she did.

According to police, Liberto accused the woman of “seeing other people” and deceiving him. She stated that while handcuffed, she made repeated attempts to contact 911 and her family.

Liberto allegedly informed her of plans to take her to a lake house four hours away, intending to “use her like she used him,” as per the complaint. The woman reportedly inquired if he intended to sexually assault her, and he admitted he did.

Liberto further disclosed to her that he had previously vandalized her vehicle, stating they would remain at the lake house “for a couple of days.” He added that “people kill people because they do bad things,” declaring, “We are at the point of no return.”

Authorities intercepted Liberto’s vehicle around 11 p.m. and pulled him over.

Upon his arrest, police searched the vehicle, discovering the gun, knife, and handcuffs. Additionally, they reportedly found duct tape, a hacksaw, erectile dysfunction pills, a tarp, bondage restraints, a ‘hogtie kit,’ gloves, headlamps, an unopened package of women’s underwear, lubricant, condoms, a 10-foot coil of straight chain, hydrogen peroxide, a shovel, a 36-inch gooseneck wrecking bar, and an unidentified clear odorless liquid, as stated in the complaint.

A Wisconsin man was arrested after stabbing his “friend with benefits” 22 times, later texting her daughter about the crime. The Milwaukee Police Department arrested Mile Dukic on February 5 after officers responded to the apartment he shared with victim Amanda Varisco in Milwaukee.

The woman spoke to detectives the following day, revealing that she first met Liberto through mutual friends in September 2025, and they had gone on a few dates. However, she had made it clear she did not wish to pursue a relationship.

Liberto had reportedly expressed dissatisfaction that the woman did not allow him to kiss her or hold her hand, and she reiterated several times that she only wanted to be friends.

Liberto is currently held at the Milwaukee County Jail with a $200,000 cash bond. He appeared in court on Tuesday, June 9.

It remains unclear if Liberto has entered a plea or secured legal representation. The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office did not immediately respond to Us Weekly’s request for comment on the case.
