According to Chicago police, the attack occurred on the 800 block of North Rush Street around 6:27 p.m. A 30-year-old man was walking in the area when he was approached by another man who produced a sharp object and cut the victim’s right cheek.
Responding officers quickly located a man matching the suspect’s description walking on the Mag Mile and arrested him on the first block of East Oak Street. Charges are pending against the suspect. Meanwhile, the victim was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where he was listed in good condition.
