Man Attacked with Baseball Bat on Upper West Side
On a quiet evening on the Upper West Side, a horrifying incident occurred where a stranger was brutally attacked with a baseball bat by a black-clad assailant. The 24-year-old victim was walking near West End Avenue and West 107th Street around 10:30 p.m. when the assailant approached him and began striking him in the face with the bat.
The victim, caught off guard by the sudden attack, sustained several blows to the face before the attacker fled towards Riverside Park. The victim, who remains unidentified, suffered facial injuries and was promptly taken to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital in stable condition by EMS.

The NYPD released surveillance footage of the suspect, dressed in all black and carrying a black baseball bat, as he moved through the streets. The suspect is described as a male with a light complexion, standing approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall with a slim build.
