A recent incident in Brooklyn has left the community shaken, as a 58-year-old woman was shoved onto subway tracks by a deranged individual. The horrifying attack took place at the Lafayette Avenue station in Fort Greene on Jan. 8 around 10 p.m. The victim, who is homeless according to sources, was waiting for a Manhattan-bound C train when she was pushed from behind and sent flying onto the tracks.
Fortunately, a group of good Samaritans quickly came to her rescue, lifting her back onto the platform before a train arrived. The woman sustained minor injuries and was taken to One Brooklyn Health-Brookdale Hospital Medical Center for treatment.
The perpetrator fled the scene and remains at large. Police have released footage of the suspect pacing on the subway platform, urging anyone with information to come forward.
