During the altercation, a 34-year-old man tried to intervene and help the victim, but he too became a target of the assailants. The good Samaritan was stabbed in the back and left thigh by the suspects before they fled the scene. Both injured men were taken to NYU Langone Hospital–Brooklyn and are currently in stable condition.

The suspects, described as wearing black masks, black sweaters, and blue jeans, managed to escape and are still at large according to authorities. The violent incident in Brooklyn is just one of several recent attacks in the city.

Another Stabbing Incident in Greenwich Village

Earlier on the same day, a 37-year-old man was stabbed in Greenwich Village while trying to fend off a thief. The victim was approached by a mugger at MacDougal and Bleecker streets around 5 a.m. The assailant demanded money and attempted to grab the victim’s wallet, leading to a physical confrontation between the two.

During the scuffle, the thief stabbed the victim in the back before fleeing the scene. The injured man was taken to Bellevue Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with this incident.
