Connor Kasin was the heart and soul of Massapequa Chiefs hockey.

Described as a fierce competitor by his close friend and former teammate Billy Sciurba, Kasin was known for his physical play and infectious energy on the ice.

Tragically, Kasin’s life was cut short in late November of last year due to a sudden cardiac episode.

Despite the loss, Kasin’s memory lives on in the Massapequa community, with gestures like spelling out “CK 37” with plastic cups at the rink and in local parks.

A foundation has been established in Kasin’s honor, dedicated to raising funds for financially struggling sports programs.

Family and friends gathered for the first memorial game in Kasin’s name, showing support for his legacy both on and off the ice.

Kasin’s dream was to wear the blue and gold jersey of Massapequa, a goal he achieved as a varsity player in 10th grade.

Known for his work ethic and leadership, Kasin left a lasting impact on his teammates and opponents alike.

Despite the emotional challenges faced by the Chiefs this season, they remain united as a family, embodying Kasin’s spirit of giving it their all on the ice.
