While assessing the success rate across all problems proved challenging due to varying levels of difficulty, Tao noted that AlphaEvolve consistently outperformed a single human mathematician in terms of speed. Despite this limitation, mathematicians are exploring ways to adapt non-optimization problems into formats suitable for AI solutions like AlphaEvolve.
