Matthew Stafford‘s on-field misfortune might just be a blessing in disguise for his wife, Kelly. She humorously commented that the painful hit he took against the Eagles during Sunday’s game could double as a “free vasectomy.”

Kelly, who has been wed to Stafford since 2015, shared this amusing anecdote on her podcast “The Morning After,” revealing how Matthew described the mishap post-game.

After the game, Kelly recalled asking her husband, “What happened? Are you alright?” To which he humorously replied, “Yeah, I got my nuts crushed.”

Despite the seemingly excruciating incident, Kelly found a bright side to the story.

She recounted, “I looked at him and said, ‘Well, that’s God’s way of facilitating your vasectomy since you haven’t done it in two years. So thank you, Jesus!'”

Matthew, 37, and Kelly, 36, are proud parents of four daughters—twins Sawyer and Chandler, Hunter, and their youngest, Tyler, born in June 2020.
