After Félix Sabroso created it, "Rage" season 1 (or "Furia" in Spanish) is a gripping black comedy drama series that takes place in modern-day Spain and is exclusively available on HBO Max. The show follows the lives of five women who are pushed to their breaking points over the course of eight episodes. This leads to a series of revenge plots that uncover the darker side of society.

The series is written and directed by Sabroso and features a talented cast led by Spanish actress Carmen Machi. Joining her are Candela Peña and Cecilia Roth, among others, as the series delves into themes of revenge and catharsis.

"Rage" Season 1 Cast and Characters Guide

Carmen Machi as Marga

Carmen Machi stars as Marga, a wealthy artist whose life is turned upside down when she discovers her husband’s affair with their maid, Tina. This betrayal triggers a journey of rage and revenge within Marga that she never knew she was capable of.

Machi is a well-known Spanish actress with notable roles in projects like "Aída" and films such as "Spanish Affair" and "Broken Embraces."

Nathalie Poza as Adela

Nathalie Poza plays Adela, Tina’s mother who faces eviction alongside her elderly mother. Adela transforms from a woman beaten down by circumstances to someone willing to fight back, especially when pushed to her limits.

Poza has had a successful career in film, television, and stage productions, with accolades for her roles in "Rosa’s Wedding" and "Can’t Say Goodbye."

Candela Peña as Nat

Candela Peña portrays Nat, a high-fashion shop assistant facing discrimination and ageism in the workplace. Despite her successful career in luxury retail, Nat finds herself pushed out by younger employees, leading to unexpected connections with wealthy clientele.

Pilar Castro as Vera

Pilar Castro plays Vera, Marga’s loyal friend and a chef whose restaurant faces closure after a harsh critic’s negative review. Vera’s desperate measures to save her career test her support network and passion for cooking.

Castro has a versatile acting career, with notable roles in productions like "Fat People" and "El premio."

Cecilia Roth as Victoria

Cecilia Roth portrays Victoria, a forgotten star from the 1970s who seeks a comeback in show business but faces a cruel deception instead. This betrayal pushes Victoria to consider revenge against those who wronged her.

Roth, an Argentine-Spanish actress, has had success in projects like "Las verdes praderas" and "Laberinto de pasiones."

Other Actors Featured in "Rage" Season 1

The series also includes a range of other talented actors who contribute to the plot, including Alberto San Juan, Claudia Salas, and Javier Cámara, among others.

What is "Rage" Season 1 All About?

"Rage" season 1, created and directed by Félix Sabroso, follows five women pushed to their limits by social injustices like extortion, oppression, and manipulation. As they seek revenge, their interconnected stories create a butterfly effect of conflicts, earning the series comparisons to an anthology.

The show features themes of revenge and justice through the stories of Marga, Vera, Nat, Adela, and Victoria, each facing unique challenges that lead to unexpected connections and consequences.

Viewers can catch "Rage" season 1 on HBO Max for a thrilling journey of empowerment and retribution.
