In contrast to her cousin Princess Charlotte, Princess Lilibet, aged 5, has a far more distant relationship with the traditional royal institution. According to royal expert, Stone, “Raised outside traditional royal circles, her path is less entwined with royal custom, which may make access to the tiara less straightforward.”
Lilibet, the daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, primarily resides in the United States, further distancing her from royal customs and heirlooms.
The Spencer Tiara, a stunning piece dating back to the 18th century, holds significant sentimental value in the British aristocracy. Originally gifted to Diana’s grandmother, Countess Cynthia Spencer, in 1919, the tiara is a masterpiece of craftsmanship. Adorned with diamond-encrusted motifs of tulips, scrolls, and stars, it was a favorite of Princess Diana who wore it repeatedly throughout her life.
