Meghan Markle Faces Setback in Trademark Battle Over Goop-Style Online Business

Recent reports have revealed that Meghan Markle is facing a setback in her trademark battle over her Goop-style online business. It has been pointed out that Markle had applied to “market goods in 19 different classes”, but had only sent enough cash to cover 17 of them.

As a result, Markle now owes an additional $728, and officials have stated that the wording in how she identified the goods she wants to sell online is “indefinite” and “must be amended”. They have asked her to “further specify” certain goods, such as garden tool gift sets, stationery sets, embossers for paper stationery, blank journals, kits comprised of edible oils, fats, preserves, spreads, and butters, as well as kits comprised of ingredients for making baked goods.

Furthermore, other goods were ruled to have descriptions that were “too broad”, including cocktail napkins, pans, cooking utensils such as strainers, spoons, forks, spatulas, tongs, spreaders, whisks, and soap dispensers. Errors were also found in applications for gift wrap made of fabric or textile, as well as meditation and yoga blankets.
