Mercedes Mone is not one to back down from a challenge, especially when it comes from her AEW rivals. Recently, the 12 Belts Mone found herself in a heated backstage altercation after some fiery comments made by her opponent, Kris Statlander.

During the October 29 episode of Fright Night Dynamite, Statlander took to the backstage area to address Mercedes Mone ahead of their upcoming showdown for the AEW Women’s World Championship at Full Gear 2025. Statlander made it clear that she would be keeping a close watch on The CEO in the lead-up to their match, and even called out the TBS champion with a bold challenge.

However, things escalated quickly as Mone attacked Statlander backstage and dragged her to the ringside. Despite Statlander’s attempt to fight back, Mone’s new ally, Athena, joined in and together they unleashed a vicious assault on the champion. Just when it seemed like all hope was lost for Statlander, reinforcements in the form of Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron arrived, forcing Mone and Athena to retreat.

As tensions ran high, the commentators announced a future tag team match between Mercedes Mone and Athena against Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron in the opening round of the tournament to crown the inaugural AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions.

Meanwhile, WWE Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley weighed in on Mercedes Mone’s unprecedented run of holding 12 championships simultaneously. While he commended her for her Ultimo Dragon-esque booking style, Dudley raised concerns about whether Mone’s multiple title reigns across different promotions were truly benefiting those organizations in terms of exposure.

Despite the criticisms, Mercedes Mone remains undeterred as she continues to dominate the AEW landscape as a megastar. With the opportunity to add two more prestigious titles to her already impressive collection en route to Full Gear 2025, Mone shows no signs of slowing down.

In conclusion, Mercedes Mone’s reign as a powerhouse in the world of professional wrestling is undeniable, and her upcoming challenges only serve to solidify her status as a force to be reckoned with. As the AEW landscape continues to evolve, all eyes will be on Mone as she looks to further solidify her legacy in the industry.
