Miami Dolphins Week 18 injury report feat. Tua Tagovailoa

The Miami Dolphins are gearing up for a crucial Week 18 matchup against the New York Jets as they look to secure a spot in the playoffs for the third consecutive season. However, their injury report is raising some concerns heading into this must-win game.

The Dolphins’ injury situation is highlighted by quarterback Tua Tagovailoa’s ongoing hip problem. In addition to Tagovailoa, three players missed practice entirely on Wednesday. Offensive tackle Kendall Lamm was also placed on injured reserve, adding to the team’s injury woes.

Linebacker Anthony Walker Jr., safety Jordan Poyer, and offensive tackle Terron Armstead were among those who missed practice due to various injuries. Defensive tackle Calais Campbell did not participate in practice due to rest, but he is not dealing with any injury.

Walker, who missed last week’s game against the Cleveland Browns, has yet to return to practice. Armstead suffered a knee injury during last weekend’s game and did not return to action.

On a positive note, linebacker Duke Riley was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice despite dealing with a foot issue. However, four key players were limited participants in practice, including safety Jevon Holland, punter Jake Bailey, wide receivers Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill, and Tagovailoa.

Tagovailoa has been struggling with a hip injury since Week 15, and backup quarterback Tyler Huntley is being prepared as the QB1 for Week 18. Coach Mike McDaniel mentioned that Tagovailoa could return later in the week if he fully recovers.

As the Dolphins prepare for a must-win game against the Jets, the team will need to monitor the status of their key players closely. With their postseason hopes on the line, Miami will be hoping for a clean bill of health as they push for a playoff berth.
