Michael Imperioli Joins Cast of New Fox Series “Memory of a Killer”
Michael Imperioli has been announced as the newest addition to the cast of the upcoming Fox series “Memory of a Killer.” He will be starring in the series alongside lead actor Patrick Dempsey. The show is inspired by the Belgian film “De Zaak Alzheimer,” also known as “La Memoire Du Tueur.” The official logline describes the series as focusing on hitman Angelo Ledda, played by Dempsey, who leads a dangerous double life while hiding the secret that he has developed early onset Alzheimer’s.
Imperioli’s character in the series is Dutch, an accomplished Italian chef who owns a restaurant in the Bronx. The restaurant serves as a front for Dutch’s criminal activities, including running a criminal enterprise. Dutch is described as ruthless, mercurial, and affable, but not always trustworthy. He is Angelo’s oldest friend and employer, providing him with targets for his hits. In a dangerous business like theirs, Angelo must navigate his relationship with Dutch carefully.
Best known for his role as Christopher Moltisanti in the hit HBO series “The Sopranos,” Imperioli has received critical acclaim for his acting. He has been nominated for five Emmy Awards and two Golden Globes, winning the Emmy for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama in 2004. Imperioli has also written episodes for “The Sopranos” and has appeared in recent TV shows such as “The White Lotus,” “This Fool,” and “Lincoln Rhyme: Hunt for the Bone Collector.”
