The renowned Michelle Obama is embarking on a new podcast venture alongside her brother, Craig Robinson.

This fresh endeavor, named the “IMO” podcast, is being unveiled under the umbrella of Higher Ground, the media company founded by the Obamas.

“My brother Craig and I initiated the IMO podcast to provide a platform where individuals can express themselves freely, pose genuine inquiries, share their viewpoints, and engage in meaningful discussions about life,” expressed Michelle Obama.

According to a review by The New York Times, Michelle Obama delves into topics such as her brother’s divorce and her newfound sense of freedom after residing in the White House for eight years.

Additionally, Michelle Obama opens up about her initial hesitance to endorse Barack Obama during his presidential campaign.

An excerpt from The New York Times:

The New York Times had the privilege of previewing the first two hour-long episodes of “IMO.” The hosts predominantly share wisdom drawn from their life experiences, steering clear of contemporary political discourse.

In the inaugural episode, Mr. Robinson, who serves as the executive director of the National Association of Basketball Coaches, reflects on the disparity between the lavish setting where they filmed the episode and the modest Chicago apartment where they grew up, sharing a bedroom. Both of their parents have since passed away — their father, Fraser Robinson III, in 1991, and their mother, Marian Robinson, who resided with the Obamas in the White House, last May.

The siblings recount challenging moments they navigated, including Mr. Robinson’s divorce and Mrs. Obama’s initial reservations about backing her husband’s presidential aspirations.

As the second episode unfolds, the show’s format becomes more apparent. Mrs. Obama and Mr. Robinson are joined by the esteemed writer, actress, and producer Issa Rae, who delves into a specific theme — nurturing adult friendships — based on a listener’s query.

Both episodes also feature lighthearted and revealing moments. Mrs. Obama reveals that after years of being under Secret Service protection and constraints, she has resumed driving. The siblings engage in playful banter about gender-related social nuances.

Are the Obamas subtly hinting at a divorce?

Speculation about a potential Obama divorce gained traction in December following Michelle Obama’s absence at Jimmy Carter’s funeral and her decision to forgo attending Trump’s inauguration.

Recent reports also suggest that the Obamas’ major donors have withdrawn support amidst swirling rumors about their marriage.

Despite attempts to dispel divorce rumors through affectionate social media posts, skepticism persists due to their prolonged absence from public appearances together.

Notably, the Obamas shared a choreographed ‘Happy Valentine’s Day’ message last month.

Megyn Kelly and Daily Mail columnist Maureen Callahan deliberated on Barack Obama’s recent public outings sans Michelle.

Barack Obama was recently spotted at a Clippers game without Michelle and was observed dining with his daughters, Malia and Sasha, once again without Michelle.

“I believe they might be subtly paving the way for a divorce,” speculated Maureen Callahan.
