Millionaire influencer Alix Earle has issued a public apology after facing backlash for using racial slurs in her past social media posts. The 23-year-old Hot Mess podcast host and TikTok star admitted to using the N-word multiple times in 2014 and expressed deep regret for her actions in an Instagram message.

In her apology, Earle acknowledged that she was 13 years old at the time and did not fully understand the hurtful impact of the racial slur. She emphasized that there is no excuse for using such language, regardless of age, and stated that it does not reflect her true beliefs or values. Earle also expressed sorrow for causing pain to others and clarified that she does not harbor any prejudice in her heart.

As a member of the Forbes 30 Under 30: Social Media list, Earle’s platform has always focused on positivity, entertainment, and uplifting others. She reassured her followers that she is dedicated to continuing this mission and vowed to be more mindful of her words and actions in the future.

The controversy surrounding Earle first surfaced in 2022 when screenshots of her offensive posts circulated on social media platforms like Reddit and TikTok. Despite facing criticism for her past behavior, Earle took responsibility for her actions and publicly addressed the issue in an effort to set the record straight.

In addition to apologizing for her use of racial slurs, Earle also denied rumors that she attempted to trademark her old posts or that she was dropped by a brand partner over the scandal. She clarified that these allegations were false and urged her followers to focus on the facts of the situation.
