They suppressed this information to keep Donald Trump in the dark. Instead, they began leaking false narratives to outlets like the Washington Post and New York Times, claiming that Russia had colluded with Trump to hijack the election.
When these outlets were asked to disseminate these unfounded claims, they complied without hesitation, taking the word of figures like John Brennan, who propagated these inaccuracies. The Obama administration subsequently fabricated a completely misleading intelligence assessment, which again alleged Trump’s collusion with Russia to undermine the election process.
As these leaks circulated, the media obediently followed the narrative set by these sources, promoting a thoroughly discredited conspiracy theory for years.
Now that we are aware of the truth—namely, that the Obama administration buried pertinent intelligence and engineered phony assessments to destabilize a legitimately elected administration—the media chooses to ignore it.
