Social Media Posts of Mother Charged with Daughter’s Murder Revealed
Social media posts made by Lauren Ingrid Flanigan, a woman charged with the murder of her three-year-old daughter, have come to light. The grim discovery was made at a home in Moore Park Beach, Queensland. Flanigan, 32, is facing charges in connection with the tragic incident.
During a brief mention of her case at Bundaberg Magistrates Court, Flanigan was not produced and the matter was adjourned to July. Acting Superintendent Brad Inskip confirmed that two other children at the address were unharmed and are now being cared for by other family members.
Details of the Tragic Incident
Police and paramedics found the child’s body and the mother in the front yard of the residence. The child had multiple wounds on her body, making it a horrific scene for all involved. A bladed knife was seized from the scene, and multiple triple-0 calls were made in relation to the alleged incident.
Superintendent Inskip did not confirm reports of Flanigan claiming that God told her to do it before the attack. He stated that mental health issues may play a part in the ongoing investigations.
Insight into Flanigan’s Social Media Presence
Flanigan’s social media posts reveal a mix of advocacy for action on domestic violence, digital work options for moms, and personal reflections. She has shared pictures of her children and promoted messages of empowerment and spirituality.
One of her recent posts urges people to “train like it’s war” and emphasizes being a “warrior of light”. She encourages her followers to stand against the “system,” “trauma,” and “lives of fear.” Her profile description highlights themes of faith, family, fitness, and financial success.
Community Response and Ongoing Investigations
Queensland Police have assured the public that there is no threat to the community following the tragic incident. Chief Inspector Grant Marcus described the event as a “horrendous tragedy” and stated that investigations are ongoing.
The body found at Flanigan’s residence is unrelated to the disappearance of 17-year-old Pheobe Bishop, who went missing in suspicious circumstances in the same area. A large-scale search operation for Bishop is currently underway.
