Motorola Teases Launch of New Flip Phone: What to Expect
Motorola is gearing up for an exciting launch event next week, with rumors suggesting that the best flip phone of 2025 could be unveiled. The company’s US X account recently posted a teaser for the event scheduled for 24 April, hinting at the arrival of a new compact foldable device. The teaser video showcases the device opening and closing, accompanied by the tagline: “When the ordinary flips to the extraordinary.”
The anticipation is high for Motorola’s upcoming flip phone launch, as the current favorite foldable phone on the market is the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra. With its impressive 4-inch cover screen, long battery life, and smooth software, the Razr 50 Ultra has set a high standard in the foldable phone category. Now, all eyes are on the rumored Motorola Razr 60 and Razr 60 Ultra, expected to be revealed at the event next week.
While details about the new devices are still scarce, early reports suggest that the Razr 60 Ultra could feature a similar design to its predecessor, along with a 6.9-inch pOLED display. However, the real upgrade lies in the performance department, with rumors pointing towards a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and a larger 4,275mAh battery. The camera set-up is said to remain the same, with a 50Mp main lens and a 50Mp telephoto lens.
On the other hand, the standard Motorola Razr 60 is rumored to sport a 6.7-inch internal display, a MediaTek Dimensity 7400X chip, a 4,500mAh battery, and a 50Mp wide/13Mp ultrawide camera configuration. With the competition heating up in the foldable phone market, particularly with the anticipated Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7, it will be interesting to see if the Razr 60 Ultra can maintain its crown as the best flip phone of 2025.
As we await the official unveiling of Motorola’s new flip phones, tech enthusiasts and consumers alike are eager to see how the devices stack up against the competition. Stay tuned for more updates on the Motorola Razr 60 and Razr 60 Ultra launch event on 24 April.
