In a recent episode of Amy Poehler’s “Good Hang” podcast, former First Lady Michelle Obama opened up about her frustrations with her adult daughters, Malia and Sasha, who she claims often dismiss her advice.
“People line up for my advice. And you, you’re walking away like I’m stupid. It’s like, I’ve written books. I’ve given speeches,” she expressed, highlighting the irony of being sought after by many yet feeling overlooked by her own children.

The Cost of Living in the White House: A Former First Lady’s Complaints
Despite being worth hundreds of millions of dollars, Michelle Obama has recently voiced her grievances about the costs associated with living in the White House. She described the financial burdens that come with the role, noting, “It’s expensive to live in the White House. Many people don’t know. I mean much is not covered. You’re paying for every bit of food that you eat. While housing and staff are provided, travel expenses are also your responsibility. If your kids are traveling separately, you pay for their flights on the First Lady’s plane. It can be quite costly, especially when you’re not earning an income during your two-year term.”
