After violently striking Holloway in the face, he noticed a large cinder block on the sand. He recounted, “I take this and uh, yeah, I smash her head in with it completely. Uh, yeah, her face basically, you know, uh, collapses in.”
The chilling confession was outlined in court documents following his guilty plea to charges of extortion and fraud against Holloway’s family. Holloway was legally declared dead in 2012, though her body has never been located.
Joran is currently serving a 28-year sentence at Challapalca prison in Peru for the murder of Flores on May 30, 2010. The two had met at a casino.
Before his conviction, Joran’s mother expressed her anger, stating, “If he killed Stephany, he’ll have to pay the price. I won’t visit him in his cell, I cannot embrace him.”
