A court administrator in Kansas City confirmed to TMZ that charges have indeed been filed against the teenager in connection to the violent incident.
“The Juvenile Office of the 16th Judicial Circuit in Jackson County has brought forth one felony assault charge and one misdemeanor assault charge against the teen suspect,” the administrator stated.
While the assailant’s identity remains undisclosed due to juvenile privacy laws, the recipient of this unsolicited aggression, Thomas Schlange, expressed a mix of disbelief and disappointment, stating to Fox 4 that “accountability is important. But it’s truly sad that it escalated to this point.”
In a moment of clarity, Schlange admitted he barely recalls the details of the September 17 attack but noted that his request for the teen to return to his assigned seat hardly warranted such a violent response.
He recounted how his polite inquiry quickly transformed into a flurry of fists landing squarely on his face.
In a rather ironic twist, just prior to this tumultuous event, NBA YoungBoy had been honored with a proclamation from Kansas City, commending him as a positive role model for the youth.
