Neil Gaiman, renowned author of “The Sandman,” has vehemently denied allegations of sexual abuse made against him by his former babysitter, Scarlett Pavlovich. In a recent court declaration, Gaiman refuted Pavlovich’s claims, stating that their encounters were consensual and that she had fabricated the allegations of abuse.

According to Gaiman, he and Pavlovich engaged in consensual sexual activity, including bathing together, during their time in New Zealand. He presented WhatsApp messages between them as evidence of the consensual nature of their interactions. In one message, Pavlovich expressed gratitude for their time together, while in another, she eagerly anticipated their next encounter.

However, Gaiman was taken aback when he learned that Pavlovich had accused him of rape and was planning to go public with her allegations. In a message exchange, Pavlovich denied using the word “rape” and expressed shock at the accusations being leveled against Gaiman. She reassured him that their interactions had been consensual and that she held no ill will towards him.

Gaiman believes that Pavlovich may have been influenced by outside parties to fabricate the allegations against him. He cited a police investigation in New Zealand that concluded without charges as further evidence of the baseless nature of the accusations. Despite this, Pavlovich has embarked on a media campaign to defame Gaiman and seek financial compensation from him.

The allegations against Gaiman have had repercussions on his professional life, with several women coming forward with similar claims. Gaiman has been dropped from various projects and has addressed the allegations on his personal blog, maintaining his innocence while acknowledging past mistakes in his relationships.

Gaiman’s legal team has filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit, arguing that the allegations are false and that a U.S. court has no jurisdiction over events that occurred in New Zealand. The case continues to unfold as Gaiman fights to clear his name and refute the damaging accusations made against him.
