Netflix’s ‘Delhi Crime 3’ Casts Huma Qureshi as Series Villain

The highly acclaimed Indian series “Delhi Crime,” which won the International Emmy Award for best drama series in 2020, is preparing for its third season. The show is currently in post-production, with the addition of talented actor Huma Qureshi to the cast. Qureshi, known for her recent Filmfare Award-winning performance in SonyLIV’s “Maharani 3,” will be playing the role of the show’s most formidable antagonist yet, opposite Shefali Shah’s beloved character DCP Vartika Chaturvedi.

“I was thrilled and honored to be approached to play the antagonist in the third season of this internationally acclaimed show,” Qureshi expressed. “I hope to continue entertaining the audience with the upcoming season.”

The new season will also see the return of core cast members Shefali Shah, Rasika Dugal as ACP Neeti Singh, and Rajesh Tailang as Bhupendra. Tanuj Chopra will be back as the director and showrunner for the series.

“Delhi Crime,” a critically acclaimed crime drama produced by Golden Karavan and SK Global Entertainment, has been lauded for its authentic portrayal of real-life criminal cases in Delhi. The show has garnered praise for its gripping storytelling and powerful performances.

Huma Qureshi, known for her diverse roles in films and series, has made a mark in the industry with her versatile acting skills. From her debut in Anurag Kashyap’s “Gangs of Wasseypur” to her recent work in projects like Netflix’s “Monica O, My Darling” and the biographical drama “Tarla,” Qureshi has proven her talent time and again. Her upcoming projects include “Jolly LLB 3,” “Bayaan,” and “Gulabi,” showcasing her range as an actor.

The third season of “Delhi Crime” is set to premiere exclusively on Netflix, with the release date expected to be announced soon. Fans of the show can look forward to another thrilling season filled with suspense, drama, and stellar performances from the cast.
