In a move that adds another layer of intrigue to the ongoing Biden administration saga, House Oversight Chairman James Comer has issued a subpoena to the President’s physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, to shed light on the so-called autopen and mental decline controversy surrounding President Biden.
Comer had previously expressed his intentions to hear from Dr. O’Connor, alongside four former aides, all of whom are linked to the alleged health scandal of the President.
The individuals targeted for testimony include: Biden’s White House physician Dr. Kevin O’Connor, Director of the Domestic Policy Council Neera Tanden, former Assistant to the President and Senior Advisor to First Lady Jill Biden Anthony Bernal, former Assistant to the President and Deputy Chief of Staff Annie Tomasini, and former Special Assistant to the President and Deputy Director of Oval Office Operations Ashley Williams.
Following Dr. O’Connor’s initial refusal to comply with the committee’s request for testimony, Comer escalated the situation by serving him with a subpoena for a deposition scheduled for June 27.
In the letter accompanying the subpoena, Comer articulated the committee’s concerns:
The Committee is keen to ascertain whether your financial ties to the Biden family have influenced your evaluations regarding former President Biden’s physical and mental capability to carry out his presidential duties.
Given your connections with the Biden family, the Committee seeks clarity on whether you played a role in obscuring the truth about the former President’s fitness for office from the American public.
Your refusal to cooperate with the Committee’s request is noted. However, your testimony is deemed essential to fulfill the Committee’s oversight responsibilities.
Accordingly, please refer to the attached subpoena for your deposition on June 27, 2025.

Meanwhile, the shadows of a federal investigation loom over the Biden autopen scandal, suggesting that this is just the tip of the iceberg.
In a related development, former President Trump has directed his White House Counsel, David Warrington, along with Attorney General Pam Bondi, to probe whether certain individuals conspired to mislead the public regarding Biden’s mental state and unlawfully wielded presidential authority.
At least three autopen devices linked to Biden have reportedly surfaced, raising further questions about the authenticity of executive actions during his presidency.
