Through newly discovered materials from the Walt Disney Archives, Iwerks and her team have unearthed forgotten 16mm film reels and audio recordings that offer a glimpse into the tumultuous year preceding the park’s creation, capturing the legacy and nostalgia that surrounded the birth of the Disneyland Resort.

Leslie Iwerks has a special connection to Disney, being the daughter of former Disney executive Don Iwerks and the granddaughter of Ub Iwerks, the legendary animator and co-creator of Mickey Mouse.
