A new Harvard/Harris poll reveals that a significant portion of the American populace continues to endorse President Trump’s immigration policies.
Despite the Democratic Party’s efforts to undermine Trump’s stance on this contentious issue, the poll indicates that their strategies may be misfiring. Voters across the political spectrum express a clear desire for border security and the expulsion of unauthorized immigrants.
In fact, the Democrats’ tactics appear to have primarily served to energize their more radical supporters, thereby putting ICE agents in precarious situations.
The Hill reports:
Trump’s immigration policies receive robust support in recent poll
The Harvard CAPS/Harris poll released Monday indicates that a majority of voters approve of President Trump’s immigration policies. Specifically, 60% of respondents favor Trump’s initiatives aimed at securing the border, with 89% of Republicans, 55% of independents, and 34% of Democrats expressing approval.
Moreover, 75% of those surveyed support the administration’s efforts to deport individuals who are in the country illegally, including 93% of Republicans, 70% of independents, and 59% of Democrats.
“Large majorities of Americans favor the removal of criminals residing illegally in the country, while also valuing human rights and the observance of due process,” noted poll director Mark Penn.
Interestingly, voters showed a split in their views on Trump’s enforcement tactics: 52% agreed that the administration is “doing the right thing” regarding immigration policy enforcement, while 48% felt it was “going too far” in its actions.
This poll also highlights support for the so-called Big Beautiful Bill.

Once again, it seems the Democrats find themselves on the less popular side of a significant issue, perhaps due to a curious incapacity to adapt to public sentiment.
