Trump Takes Aim at the Supreme Court Over Deportation Ruling

In a dramatic display of political theatrics, President Trump expressed his outrage on Monday regarding the Supreme Court’s recent decision concerning deportations under the Alien Enemies Act. The ruling, which came in the early hours of Saturday, served as a temporary halt to the Trump Administration’s attempts to deport Venezuelan nationals deemed illegal immigrants.

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) was quick to intervene when reports surfaced that Venezuelan individuals in Abilene, Texas, were being prepared for deportation. After a judge appointed by Trump in Texas declined to take immediate action, the ACLU sought recourse with Judge Boasberg in Washington, D.C. However, Boasberg informed them that he lacked jurisdiction over the Texas cases.

In a swift leap through legal hoops, the ACLU appealed directly to the Supreme Court, which ultimately decided to pause the deportations—though Justices Alito and Thomas dissented. This decision stirred up a storm of criticism from Trump, who claimed that the judicial system is bowing to the pressures of the so-called radical left.

Trump vented his frustrations on Truth Social, asserting, “I was elected to remove criminals from our country, but the Courts don’t seem to want me to do that. My team is doing an incredible job, yet they are being obstructed at every turn, including by the Supreme Court, which I respect but seems reluctant to allow me to send violent offenders back to Venezuela or any other country. The Courts are intimidated by the Radical Left, who are ‘playing the Ref.’ Justice Alito is correct in wanting to lift the hold on deportations. If we don’t get these criminals out, we risk losing our country. We cannot provide a trial for everyone; that would take centuries! What a ludicrous situation we find ourselves in. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

In a subsequent post, Trump continued his tirade: “How can Biden allow millions of criminals into our country without any vetting, while I must navigate a lengthy legal process for each and every illegal alien? This double standard is leading us on a path to utter destruction. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
