The Green Family Art Foundation in Dallas has organized a new exhibition titled “Chubb Fellows & Friends” at the New York Academy of Art. Curated by Katherine Delony, this showcase features a diverse group of artists connected to the Academy, including past fellows and a wider community of alumni, faculty, and artists with ties to the institution.

The exhibition aims to highlight the artistic achievements influenced by the Academy’s rigorous training and dedication to studio practice. It brings together a range of works in various mediums, such as painting, drawing, sculpture, and mixed media, to demonstrate the community’s shared commitment to technical mastery and contemporary innovation.

The idea for “Chubb Fellows & Friends” stemmed from the Green family’s realization that many artists they admired were affiliated with the New York Academy of Art. Through their exploration, they discovered a common thread among these artists – a connection to the Academy’s training methods and artistic sensibilities. This led to the creation of the exhibition as a way to celebrate this shared lineage and showcase the talent nurtured by the institution.

The featured artists in the exhibition include a diverse group of individuals such as Trey Abdella, Dana Schutz, Tschabalala Self, Amy Sherald, and more. Each artist brings their unique perspective and creative vision to the showcase, demonstrating a range of styles and approaches to art-making.

“Chubb Fellows & Friends” is currently on display at the New York Academy of Art located at 111 Franklin Street until March 1, 2026. For those interested in learning more about the exhibition and the participating artists, visit nyaa.edu for additional information.
