New Zealand has secured a spot in the men’s football World Cup for the third time in history after a 3-0 victory against New Caledonia at Eden Park. This win guarantees their participation in the upcoming tournament in North America.
The tension mounted during the first hour of the game until Michael Boxall scored a header from a corner kick, putting the All Whites in the lead in the 62nd minute.
Subsequent goals by Kosta Barbarouses and Elijah Just highlighted New Zealand’s superior skills as they outshined their opponents.
Prior to this, the All Whites had only qualified for the World Cup in 1982 and 2010.
