Andrew Moore is renowned for his evocative photographs that capture landscapes, interiors, and urban scenes seemingly frozen in a bygone era. These mysterious images often exclude people, yet they convey a timeless quality, as if they could have been captured at any point over the last few decades. Occasionally, the scenes suggest recent human presence, while at other times, they appear untouched for years.

Currently, Moore is showcasing his work in a solo exhibition titled Theater. This exhibition features his photographs of grand staircases, aging stages, and vintage box office ticket booths, evoking nostalgia for a time before digital screens. The collection also includes images of a bar, an art restoration studio, and a grand staircase in Cuba, highlighting the dramatic elements of architecture and design. The use of dreamy lighting, worn furnishings, and different stages of decay further enhance the sense of nostalgia.

The exhibition Theater is on display until March 21 at Jackson Fine Art.
