Shocking Video Shows Victim of Bronx Beatdown Fight Back, Shoot Attacker
A wild video captured the intense moment when the victim of a brutal Bronx beatdown turned the tables on his attackers on Monday afternoon. The incident took place just before 1 p.m. on Commonwealth Avenue near Westchester Avenue in Soundview. The footage obtained by The Post shows two young men cornering their victim against a wall in a violent confrontation.
In the video, one of the assailants can be seen kicking the cowering victim in the face while recording the brutal attack on his cell phone. The victim, after enduring the punches and kicks, eventually gets up off the ground as one of the attackers, wearing a black T-shirt and orange shorts, holds him from behind.
As the situation escalates, the victim pulls out a gun and fires shots, hitting the shorts-wearing attacker, aged 27, in the torso. The wounded attacker is left critically injured on the sidewalk as the victim-turned-gunman continues to fire rounds towards the fleeing cameraman, dressed in red sweatpants and a white T-shirt.
In the video, the shooter, dressed in black pants and a black sweater over a white shirt, calmly walks past the injured attacker on the ground before the clip ends. The injured man was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center and is currently in critical condition.
Police have not made any arrests in connection with the incident, and the investigation is ongoing. The shocking footage serves as a stark reminder of the violence that can erupt on the streets of the Bronx.
