SpotOn, a leading technology company, has recently unveiled GoTo Place, a revolutionary mobile-first ordering channel aimed at empowering restaurants with integrated online ordering, loyalty programs, and direct customer engagement. This innovative app comes as a response to the growing trend of “super apps” in the foodservice industry, providing restaurants with a solution to retain data, revenue, and control without relying on third-party platforms.

GoTo Place is set to transform the digital presence of restaurants by offering them a custom-branded app, providing a unique and personalized experience for their customers. This move challenges the current market dominated by technology giants with generic apps that often lead to high commissions and reduced brand visibility for individual restaurants.

According to SpotOn chief product officer Bryan Solar, “At a time when restaurants are facing pressure from rising costs and changing consumer habits, GoTo puts the power back in the restaurant’s hands.” He further emphasized, “GoTo is the kind of branded experience usually reserved for national chains. We’re democratizing that technology for independent restaurants, giving them the tools to drive repeat visits, own their customer relationships, and build long-term loyalty.”

One of the key features that sets GoTo apart is its dedicated platform that allows restaurants to connect directly with their customers under their own brand, without promoting competitors or diluting their brand identity. Unlike third-party ‘super apps’ that charge high fees and promote multiple restaurants, GoTo prioritizes the interests of restaurants by providing a restaurant-first experience.

Data from SpotOn Order reveals that over 80% of consumers use their phones to place orders, with 40% returning to the same restaurant within a week. GoTo leverages these consumer habits by facilitating repeat orders and loyalty reward redemptions, thereby reducing the operational burden on restaurant staff.

Restaurants using GoTo can offer a commission-free, branded mobile ordering experience, engage customers with tailored loyalty rewards and marketing offers, and manage reservations and waitlists on their terms. The app is now available on the App Store and Google Play, offering a comprehensive solution for restaurants already using SpotOn Order, with plans to introduce additional functionalities in the future.

In addition to the launch of GoTo Place, SpotOn also introduced an AI-powered tool for restaurant operators to automate their profit and loss analysis, further enhancing the efficiency and profitability of restaurants using their services.

“SpotOn introduces mobile-first ordering channel GoTo” was originally published by Verdict Food Service, a GlobalData owned brand. This innovative solution is poised to revolutionize the way restaurants engage with their customers and enhance their digital presence in an increasingly competitive market.
