$4,500 Artist GrantsFeatured
The Hopper Prize is currently accepting submissions for artist grants totaling $13,000 USD, with $4,500 awarded to two artists and $1,000 to four additional artists. This international open call welcomes submissions from all visual media and offers participants exposure to a wide range of professionals in the art community, including curators and gallerists, through a shortlist and an online publication that currently reaches over 150,000 people.

Open Calls

The Abbey Harris Mural Fund (U.K.)
This grant aims to support the creation of semi-permanent or permanent public murals or site-specific art in various mediums. Funding of up to £7,000 is available for individual artists or organizations.

2026 Black Creativity Juried Art Exhibition (U.S.)
Hosted by the Griffin Museum of Science and Industry, this exhibition invites submissions from professional and emerging Black artists, as well as works from Black teen artists in the Chicagoland area. A $10 application fee applies, with no charge for submissions from the teen category.
Deadline: 11:59 p.m. CDT on October 12, 2025.

Contemporary Reflection Art Exhibition (International)
Artists from all disciplines are encouraged to submit works for the Contemporary Reflection exhibition, focusing on themes of modern life and identity. This curated showcase will take place from December 1-7 at Cornerstone Studios in London, with a £20 application fee.

Open Call for 2027-29 Exhibitions at Municipal Gallery, dlr LexIcon (Ireland)
This opportunity invites submissions from artists to reach new audiences in Dublin. Selected artists will receive fees of €6,500 for established artists and €4,300 for emerging artists for their exhibitions at the Municipal Gallery.

Glen Arbor Arts Center Open Call for INteriors (International)
The INteriors exhibition will explore both real and imagined inner spaces. The event runs from January 9 to March 12, 2026, and works created in the last three years are encouraged. The application fee is $35 ($25 for GAAC members).

Sight/Geist: Film & Performance Open Call (New York City)
The Shelley & Donald Rubin Foundation invites submissions for its sixth season of Sight/Geist, which supports emerging film and performance artists. Participants will receive a $300 fee for group screenings and $1,000 for solo performances.
Deadline: November 15, 2025.

Creative Commission for Sycamore Gap Tree (International)
The National Trust invites artists and creative agencies to propose ideas that utilize wood from the recently felled Sycamore Gap tree. A shortlist of up to five artists will receive £5,000 each to develop their proposals, with one final concept selected.

Open Call for Discovery Art Fair Frankfurt (International)
This art fair in Germany invites submission from galleries, project groups, and individual artists, taking place from November 6 to 9, providing a platform amidst Frankfurt’s vibrant art scene.

Verdant Fund Project Grants (Alabama)
The Verdant Fund aims to support artists, curators, and collectives in Alabama, focusing on underrepresented perspectives. Project grants of up to $7,000 are available.

The Supporting Act Foundation Artist Grants (Belgium, Germany, Spain, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, and the U.K.)
Designed to support emerging artists from underrepresented groups, this program awards ten unrestricted grants of €10,000 to those whose work engages their community.
Deadline: 11 a.m. CET on October 13, 2025.

Dutch Talent Project Grants (The Netherlands)
This initiative offers emerging photographers a chance to develop their work around the festival theme Echoes of Silence – War in the Artist’s Soul. Selected artists will receive financial backing and curatorial support during Rotterdam Photo 2026.

Craft Research Fund Grant (U.S.)
The Center for Craft offers grants from $5,000 to $15,000 to promote interdisciplinary research.

GLEAN Portland Artist Stipends (Portland, Oregon)

The Artadia Awards offer financial support and recognition to artists, providing unrestricted awards of $15,000.

MAKE Thesis Grants (International)

Booooooom Illustration Awards (U.S.)
