On October 27, 2018, a tragic event unfolded as a gunman attacked Pittsburgh’s Tree of Life synagogue, resulting in the death of 11 people and injuring six others. The perpetrator, Robert Bowers, targeted the Jewish community in the deadliest attack of its kind in U.S. history. Bowers received a death sentence in 2023 for his actions.
