recently highlighted an interesting contradiction involving Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, affectionately dubbed the ‘woman of the people’, who opted for a first-class seat to attend Bernie Sanders’ ‘Fight the Oligarchy’ event in Las Vegas.

Adding to the irony, it’s now been disclosed that Senator Bernie Sanders has racked up expenses exceeding $200,000 on private jet travel to similar events. One must wonder about the sincerity of their claims regarding climate change or the oligarchs they so passionately criticize. It appears they enjoy the fruits of the high life while condemning the same lifestyle.

The Washington Free Beacon reported:

Bernie Sanders Spent $221K on Private Jets Amid ‘Fighting Oligarchy’ Tour

Sen. Bernie Sanders has embarked on a nationwide tour to denounce billionaires and so-called “oligarchs” like Elon Musk—while ironically traveling in a manner befitting the very class he criticizes.

Financial disclosures released on Tuesday reveal that Sanders’s primary campaign committee, Friends of Bernie Sanders, has spent $221,723 on chartered private jets during the first quarter of 2025, with the initial payment made just days before the tour kicked off in February.

“We will not accept a rigged economy where working people struggle while billionaires become richer,” Sanders proclaimed at a recent event in California. “We need to foster an economy that supports working individuals, not just Mr. Musk and the billionaire elite.” Yet, Sanders seems unperturbed by the fact that his private jet spending far exceeds what the average working individual can afford, even as he intensifies his critique of the wealthy.

One must ponder how so many on the left continue to buy into this narrative.

Perhaps it’s time to remind Bernie and AOC about their statements on climate change the next time they take to the air in their private jets.
