Border Patrol commander Greg Bovino’s departure from Minneapolis — following two fatal shootings by federal officers in the city — was portrayed by some Trump administration officials as not a demotion.

However, on Tuesday, Desi Lydic, host of “The Daily Show,” offered a different perspective.

She argued that reports of the Department of Homeland Security cutting off Bovino’s access to his social media accounts were a “clear, definite sign that Trump has lost his confidence in Bovino.”

“Oh, he’s toast,” she remarked.

Lydic humorously pointed out, “This administration practically runs on shitposting, so there’s no greater punishment to them than telling someone, ‘Turn in your badge and your dank memes.’” She added, “I’m just kidding, they don’t have badges.”
