An Ohio polygamist, along with her husband and four lovers, found themselves in hot water after allegedly kidnapping and torturing a 26-year-old man in a horrifying revenge plot. The twisted matriarch, Martina Jones, 28, orchestrated the sick scheme that unfolded at a Red Roof Inn in Maumee.

The victim was held captive for a week, enduring brutal beatings with a metal baseball bat, standing for extended periods, and being deprived of food and water, only allowed to eat and drink once a day. He was also punched, kicked, and only managed to get 10 hours of sleep during his captivity.

Police Chief Josh Sprow described the victim’s injuries as the result of being repeatedly struck with various objects and stomped on while on the ground, leading to multiple fractured bones. The ordeal began after a scuffle at Jones’ home, where a dog fight broke out and resulted in her breaking her arm. However, Jones falsely claimed that the victim was responsible for her injury, sparking the revenge plot.

The victim managed to escape on March 21 when he was allowed to visit a convenience store, where he contacted someone who then called his mother. His mother rushed to the hotel room and found her son with severe injuries, leading to the arrests of Jones, her husband Michael Esqueda, and her lovers Aaron Bradshaw, Austin Bradshaw, David Cessna, and Chance Johnston.

The suspects were indicted for kidnapping, felonious assault, and tampering with evidence, with each held on a $200,000 bond. The bizarre and disturbing nature of this case has left authorities puzzled, with Chief Sprow noting that such extreme acts are not common in their city.

The investigation into this shocking incident continues, shedding light on the dark and dangerous world of this polygamist group and their heinous actions. The victim’s resilience and eventual escape serve as a testament to the strength of the human spirit in the face of unimaginable cruelty.
