In a shocking turn of events, a local shoe store in Downtown Cincinnati fell victim to a heinous crime that left the owner devastated and contemplating the closure of his beloved business. Sole Bros, owned by Hunter Emigh, was targeted by three thieves who brazenly stole over 100 right-footed shoes in a late-night robbery fueled by alcohol.

Emigh took to Facebook to share the heartbreaking news, revealing that the security system at his store alerted him to the break-in at around 2 a.m. on Oct. 8. The security footage captured the thieves rummaging through the shelves and making off with not only the shoes but also clothing pieces and other items from the store.

The security footage showed one of the thieves, dressed in a red sweatsuit, taking a swig from a liquor bottle before breaking into the store. Inside, he was seen casually walking around the showroom, carrying multiple shoes in his arms. Another thief, wearing a black sweatshirt and a face mask, limped into the store, while a woman stood outside, seemingly acting as a lookout.

The aftermath of the robbery was devastating, with empty shoe boxes scattered on the floor, shelves ransacked, and single shoes left behind in the chaos. Emigh revealed that the stolen products and damage to the store would cost him an estimated $45,000, a significant blow to his business.

The Cincinnati Police Department is currently investigating the burglary, and Emigh expressed his frustration and demoralization in the wake of the incident. He even considered closing the store for good, especially since Sole Bros had already faced challenges in the past, including a car crashing into his previous store 18 months ago.

Despite the hardships, Emigh was touched by the outpouring of love and support from the community, which ultimately led him to decide to keep the store open. He vowed to continue offering the best services to the city and urged the public to come forward with any information that could help solve the crime.

In a heartfelt plea on social media, Emigh acknowledged the impact of the robbery on his business but expressed a desire not to harbor hate in his heart. He called on the community to help identify the thieves and bring them to justice, emphasizing the importance of coming together in the face of adversity.

The resilience and determination of Hunter Emigh and Sole Bros serve as a testament to the strength of small businesses and the power of community support. Despite the challenges they face, they remain committed to serving their customers and overcoming obstacles with grace and perseverance.
