Olivia Kaiser, a contestant on Season 41 of “The Challenge,” recently revealed that she was pregnant during filming. The former “Love Island” star welcomed her first child, Atlas, with her boyfriend Theo Campbell, who also competed in the final, on Nov. 20. Kaiser disclosed in a Zoom interview with Variety that she conceived during the first week of the competition, specifically during Derek Chavez’s birthday party.
Throughout the season, Kaiser noticed a significant decrease in her energy levels and attributed it to the challenges of the game. She mentioned feeling lethargic and exhausted, but thought it was due to the intense competition and the emotional toll it took on her. Looking back, she realized that her symptoms were actually signs of pregnancy. Kaiser admitted that she was not as strong and confident as she had initially been, attributing it to the exhaustion and challenges of the first trimester.
There was a moment during the season when Kaiser suspected she might be pregnant, but a physical challenge reassured her otherwise. She recalled a particularly intense fall during the cave challenge, which led to bleeding. Kaiser later discovered that it was implantation bleeding, a common sign of early pregnancy. Despite her suspicions, she and Campbell did not engage in intimate activities often during their time in the house.
After the final filming wrapped up, Kaiser and Campbell stayed in Chile for a couple of days to unwind. It was during this time that Kaiser started feeling cramps and decided to take a pregnancy test. To her surprise, the test revealed that she was over three weeks pregnant. Reflecting on the experience, Kaiser acknowledged the strength and resilience of women, emphasizing the challenges she faced while unknowingly pregnant.
As she embarks on motherhood, Kaiser plans to take a hiatus from competing in “The Challenge” to focus on her son. She expressed her desire to return to the game in the future, driven by her newfound purpose as a mother. Kaiser’s journey as a competitor and now as a mother showcases her strength and determination, both on and off the screen.
The finale of “The Challenge: Vets & New Threats” is set to air on MTV at 8 p.m. ET, marking the end of an eventful season for Kaiser and her fellow competitors.
