An ex-FBI official shared his perspective on alleged cell phone footage filmed by the federal immigration agent involved in the fatal shooting of Renee Good in Minneapolis. Michael Feinberg expressed concern over the use of deadly force in a situation that he believes did not warrant it. The video, first shared by right-wing website Alpha News, shows Good interacting with ICE agent Jonathan Ross before being shot. Vice President JD Vance claimed that Ross acted in self-defense, a statement in line with the Department of Homeland Security’s initial response.

Feinberg emphasized the importance of emotional maturity and the ability to remain calm in law enforcement. He stated that being heckled or filmed is not a threat to an officer’s life or safety, but rather a minor annoyance. He criticized Vance and President Donald Trump for commenting on the incident before a thorough investigation.

Feinberg also questioned why Ross would be filming the interaction with his cell phone and called the “fucking bitch” remark heard in the video unprofessional. He pointed out that Ross had plenty of equipment to protect himself and should have kept his hands free if he truly felt threatened.

Overall, Feinberg dismissed the notion that Ross’s actions were justified and called the excuse for filming the incident “asinine.” The case raises serious questions about the use of deadly force and the conduct of law enforcement officers in tense situations. following sentence:
