OWN has announced the greenlighting of two new television specials featuring the Emmy-winning spiritual life coach, Iyanla Vanzant. The details of these specials are currently kept under wraps, but both are set to continue Vanzant’s mission of helping individuals “fix” their lives. Production for these specials is scheduled to commence in March.

The decision to produce these two specials comes on the heels of the successful launch and airing of “Iyanla: The Inside Fix.” This show is a revamped version of Vanzant’s previous series, “Iyanla: Fix My Life,” where she delves deeper into 12 of the most impactful episodes from the original show. “Iyanla: The Inside Fix” debuted as the number one show among African American women and has solidified OWN as the top-rated cable network for African American women on Saturdays.

In response to the positive reception of “The Inside Fix,” Vanzant expressed her gratitude, stating, “The series is a ministry of healing. Each story, each tear, each moment of truth is a sacred encounter with the human soul.” She believes that by sharing authentic experiences and truths, viewers become active participants in a collective healing process that extends beyond individuals to families, communities, and the world at large.

Although “Iyanla: The Inside Fix” premiered earlier this year, Vanzant’s television journey began in 2012 with “Iyanla: Fix My Life,” which continued until 2021. The show focused on personal growth conversations and featured notable guests like Shereé Whitfield, Karrueche Tran, and Evelyn Lozada. Vanzant is also a prolific author with more than 17 books to her name, including titles like “In The Meantime,” “Yesterday I Cried,” and “Forgiveness: 21 Days to Forgive Everyone for Everything.”

“Iyanla: The Inside Fix” is produced by Bunim/Murray Productions, a Banijay Americas company, for OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network. The show airs on Saturdays at 8 p.m. ET on the network. Stay tuned for more updates on Vanzant’s upcoming specials and continue to be inspired by her transformative work in the realm of spiritual healing.
