Kristi Noem‘s Department of Homeland Security, along with Pam Bondi, responded to the recent cold open of “Saturday Night Live”. The sketch featured Tina Fey and Amy Poehler impersonating the DHS Secretary and Attorney General, respectively.

“[Kristi Noem], should we recreate this picture in Chicago?” Bondi commented on X Sunday, attaching a still from the sketch. “Loving Amy Poehler!”

While Noem chose to remain silent on the matter, DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin told Entertainment Weekly that “‘SNL’ is absolutely correct — the shutdown initiated by the Democrats needs to come to an end!”

The most recent cold open of “SNL” commenced with Poehler portraying Bondi defending her contentious Senate hearing from earlier in the week, where she faced intense questioning regarding everything from the Epstein documents to her role in the indictment against James Comey.

“I won’t be discussing my private discussions with the president,” Poehler’s depiction of Bondi stated. “I’m not going to divulge who dozed off mid-sentence or who kept calling me Ivanka while patting his lap.”

Regarding the Epstein files, Poehler humorously remarked, “I attempted to read the Epstein files, but I found them incredibly tedious. It’s just constant repetition: ‘Trump this, Trump that.’ Yawn.”

Fey’s portrayal of Noem then made her entrance, brandishing an assault rifle and donning a DHS cap.

“That’s me, Kristi,” Fey’s version of Noem announced. “I spell my name with an ‘I’ because that’s how I thought it was spelled.”

Fey’s Noem provided some comedic insight into her recruitment methods for ICE, stating, “How did I locate them? By placing ads like this: Need a job immediately? You bet. Are you a big, tough guy? Absolutely. Tough enough for the army or police? Nope. Do you consume supplements that you got from a gas station? Every day. Do you prefer to use zip ties because those around you don’t trust you with keys? You know it. Suck on these, big guy. Welcome to ICE.”
